8 including Pak project to compete for energy award


MONITORING REPORT KARACHI: The world’s leading green energy prize has announced that eight sustainable energy pioneers from the African continent, India and Pakistan have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy 2011.
According to details, the finalists will compete for over £120,000 prize money. The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held in London on June 16.
The Aga Khan Planning and Building Service, Pakistan’s (AKPBS,P) innovative programme BACIP (Building and Construction Improvement Programme) has been selected as one of the finalists for the Ashden Awards 2011.
