Pak scholars selected for higher studies in France


STAFF REPORT LAHORE: Ambassador of France Daniel Jounneau has hosted a reception to award Higher Education Commission (HEC) and French Scholarships to 17 Pakistani laureates for the fellowship programme, both for “Split-PhD” and post-doctorate in different fields. They will leave for France early next month for their nine-month scientific studies.

The batch members are from different parts of the cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Karachi, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan. They are working in different fields including pharmacy, business administration, virology and immunology, biotechnology and genetic engineering, microbiology, chemical and materials engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering and computer science, plant pathology, information and communication technology, food science and technology, history and international relations, telecommunications, social sciences and statistics.
