The varsity has two campuses in Karachi, and one campus in Islamabad. There are more than 12,000 students in Islamabad and Karachi campuses and 450 faculty members in Islamabad and Karachi campuses.
It has introduced advanced education in different departments including Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Urdu and upcoming Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics.
Besides, the university has engaged thousands of students in its 36 different departments related to arts, live science, commerce, computer and management science.
Nearly two dozen of the private institutes have been affiliated with FAUUST offering education in the same discipline as varsity has.

With this as a driving force, and with the availability of resources , any institution can achieve the goal of providing the best education , and producing the best engineers, scientists, artists, scholars and above all citizens.
In a competitive academic environment the most important and attractive factor for an institution is the quality of education. A strong program in any discipline is determined by the faculty running programs. We have recently strengthened all the departments especially electrical engineering department by hiring a number of foreign qualified professors and acquiring state for the art lab equipment.
Transition to university is an exciting step in your lives. It will be challenging to move from the system of education at your schools, to a bigger setup in terms of faculty, resources and diversity of students, as people with different cities and backgrounds come and study.
Many of students will be living away from home for the first time. It is an exciting environment, but it might take some time become accustomed to. It is very important that you take the opportunity to participate fully in university activities, not only in lecture and tutorials, but also broader aspects’ of university life, as these will be most rewarding.
The varsity is not only imparting subject knowledge but also grooming the student's personality by teaching moral value through co-curricular and extra curricular activities. I am confident that, under the able leadership of Vice Chancellor who has proven record of teaching, research and academic management.
Government of Pakistan has promised to provide funds for building proper campuses enabling us to add more departments and enroll additional students in the existing departments.
