IT, telecom projects again put on ice

STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: To the shock of the many, the government of Pakistan has
once again stopped IT and telecom development projects the Prime Minister has failed to give some time to preside over a board meeting of specific purpose.It is to be mentioned here that over 500 small schemes designed for providing basic telecom services in more than 12,000 ‘un-served and under-served’ remote villages and small towns of the country have been stalled, and work on almost an equal number of schemes could not be taken up.
