Salim Ghauri: NetSol Technologies is a leading international provider of automated and IT enabled solutions catering to businesses across various verticals around the globe.

NetSol has ever since used highly experienced resources in analysis, development, quality assurance, and implementation to provide a wide range of high-quality consulting services and cost-effective development of customized application software.

What is the perception regarding Pakistani IT & Software industry in Europe and USA?

Both the European and US companies are looking at Pakistan with high prospects, as they are aware of the fact that the cost of doing business in comparatively lesser in the region. Besides, half of Pakistan’s population consists of youngsters, which again is a source of attraction for the European and US vendors. It is only the law and order situation that creates worries amongst them, otherwise Pakistan is one of the few destinations across the globe where the multinationals would love to invest and tap the opportunities at the earliest.

What is your opinion about the current steps being taken by Pakistani Government for the endorsement of IT in the country?

The present government formed a Task Force on Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) to formulate a comprehensive policy on how Pakistan can advance on this front. The Task Force is dissolved now but being Chairman of the Task Force, I firmly believe that the government is marching in the right direction and as they say, where there is will, there is a way, therefore, the things would get better once Pakistan is out of present quagmire.

How do you envisage the market of these emerging technologies like CRM, e-Commerce etc. in Asia especially in Pakistan?

I am very optimistic about the future of Pakistan. I get opportunity to travel around the world frequently and it is my considered opinion that Pakistan can play vital role in shaping up future of technology in the world. So far as the CRM or e-Commerce is concerned, such innovations are making the business process easy and user friendly. Since we are living in global village therefore it is not a matter of Asia or non-Asia, instead such technological advancement are for the betterment of human being provided we are ready to take the challenges by horn.
