HEC raises research fund for DUHS

STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has raised its research grant for the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) by 15 per cent on the basis of its performance.

“The increase in the research funding is under the HEC’s National Research Programme for the Universities (NRPU) Programme,” reveals an official of the HEC.

The raise has been made on the basis of the submissions made through the research proposal report by the research department of the university, officials at the university told the media.

The Higher Education Commission has also selected five other universities namely Aga Khan University, University of Punjab, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Agricultural Sciences and PMAS-Arid Agricultural University for its NRPU Programme.
