STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: In order to rescue Aral Sea and ensure rational use of trans-boundary rivers in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, a workgroup has been constituted in Pakistan.
The workgroup comprises deputies of National Assembly of Pakistan, representatives of Pakistani scientific-research centers, ministries of water, power resources, environmental protection, Agency for Environmental Protection, International Commission for watershed of Ind, chief editors of central printing editions, broadcasting companies.
According to members of the Workgroup, there is a range of factors encouraging their participation in the process of Aral Sea saving.
