STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: The PARC is proving its potential by taking vigorous research initiatives meant for agriculture advancement in collaboration with provincial research establishments. Federal Secretary Food Junaid Iqbal Chaudhry expressed these remarks while speaking at the concluding session of the Inter-provincial agricultural research coordination committee here last week.
“As a result of PARC coordination, the participants devised effective recommendations of national importance for joint implementation,” he said adding that the ministry would fully support in effectively implementing new coordination mechanisms agreed between the stakeholders.
“The recommendations in the areas of animal sciences, social sciences and natural resources and crops sciences were excellent,” PARC Chairman Dr. Muhammad Afzal in his address on the occasion.
He hoped that these recommendations would bring radical changes for development of agriculture sector in Pakistan and help to strengthen the economy of the country and also help to alleviate poverty.
