UNDP to pump out flood water

STAFF REPORT KARACHI: A United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project, funded by Japan, would help pump out flood water and clean up villages in Sindh.

Most recently, UNDP Administrator Helen Clark visited Khairpur Nathan Shah and Bagho Teweno villages in Dadu and met with female heads of households to give them ownership certificates for their new homes. The new houses have solar lanterns and solar water heaters while the communal areas are also lit by solar streetlights.
