STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: As the industry, universities, research organizations or the government alone cannot compete in global socio-techno-economic environment, these four major players will have to pool their efforts for achieving this goal.
“PASTIC/PSF has taken a great initiative to provide a national level platform in this regard. Now we all will have to come forward to work for this national cause,” Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) said this while addressing a symposium here last week.
He said that in our country it is dire need to make relevance between the functional knowledge and education that can be readily converted into commercial undertakings.
During the symposium, researchers from various universities and R&D organizations presented their innovative research. Business executive highlighted the industrial needs and problems.
Professor Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF and Naseer Kamboh, Chairman Ad-hoc Management Committee, FCCI, also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance to carry out such activities for the promotion of socio-techno-economic environment for national progress and prosperity.
