Pak, Argentine to boost S&T coop

STAFF REPORT ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Argentine have agreed to boost cooperation in the field of science and technology and decided to deliberate on fresh proposals from both sides to agree upon a programme of cooperation.

“The sector of science and technology is an engine of the economy of a country and Pakistan has strong endeavours to become a developed state especially in the field of science and technology,” said Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani while holding a meeting with Argentinean Ambassador Rodolfo J. Mortin Saravia here.

On the occasion, they discussed matters pertaining to mutual interest with special reference to the sector of science and technology.

Both the states are vigorously pursuing the cooperation under the framework of bilateral agreement, signed in 1983 between the two countries, to accrue mutual benefits through exchanges of expertise, research and strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries.
