Qubee carries $60m expansion plan to Pakistan


MONITORING REPORT ISLAMABAD : The Qubee management has planned to expand its advanced internet technology to reach out to millions of customers in various new cities with a handsome investment of $60 million by the end of this year.

“Qubee, a 100 percent shareholder subsidiary of Augere, to be executed in the on-going calendar year by the company. Out investment would be increased to $150 by the end of current year since its inception,” disclosed Alistair Johnston, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Augere, while talking to media here last week.

According to him, the expansion in operation will definitely offer business ventures and employment opportunities to the local people in the highly advanced technology field of the world. With working experience of more than 12 years with different renowned telecom giants including Telefonica 02, Orange and Virgin Mobile, Johnston is leading Qubee to become a best seller service of the Pakistan with the philosophy of “Broadband for All.”

He said that the Pakistani market has terrific potential to explore business as a matter of fact the broadband penetration is very limited to the internet users whereas the huge population of whole new generations will adopt this technology on demand in the future.

He admitted that Qubee has not been satisfactory for the customers so far as he said the company is in the transitional state in few areas, where it has snags in service quality.

However, he said that the company is improving its services in all operational cities aggressively to ensure better services to its customer.

Alister Johnston lauded the business support his company enjoyed over the period of time. He said the institutions in the country are strong and facilitating for business.
